The Cittie of Yorke is a pub.
The City of York is a city.
Yesterday I was in the pub, not the city.

I'd be so bold as to add that the Cittie of York is a damn fine pub serving nice cheap booze. Yum! I was in there last Friday... :)

Funny, I was in the City of York in the very nice pub The Three Legged Mare in Petergate. Sampled some very fine ales including a lovely dark Centurion's Ghost and Anders enjoyed a fine stout called Edwyn Somebody-or-other
